OnePlus N6 Launching June 30 With Massive 8,000mAh Battery; Geekbench Listing Reveals Key Specs
OnePlus is preparing to launch its first-ever N-series smartphone in India, the OnePlus N6, on June 30. Ahead of the official unveiling, the company has started teasing the device’s standout features, with battery life emerging as one of its biggest selling points.
OnePlus N6 to Feature an 8,000mAh Battery
OnePlus has officially confirmed that the upcoming N6 will pack a massive 8,000mAh battery. The company claims the device will offer the largest battery capacity in its segment, which is expected to fall within the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 price range.
The battery size is notable even when compared to some premium smartphones. According to OnePlus, the N6’s battery exceeds the capacity found in several flagship devices, highlighting the brand’s focus on long-lasting performance and reduced charging frequency.
With the large battery onboard, users can expect extended screen time, making the smartphone suitable for gaming, streaming, and heavy daily usage.
Geekbench Listing Hints at MediaTek Processor
While OnePlus has not officially disclosed the complete specifications of the N6, a recent Geekbench database listing has revealed several important details.
A OnePlus smartphone carrying the model number CPH2955, believed to be the OnePlus N6, has appeared on the benchmarking platform. The listing suggests the device could be powered by a MediaTek MT6835 processor coupled with a Mali-G57 MC2 graphics unit.
Based on the chipset information, industry observers expect the smartphone to feature a processor from MediaTek’s Dimensity 6000 series, aimed at delivering balanced performance and power efficiency in the budget segment.
RAM, Software and Benchmark Scores
The Geekbench listing further indicates that the handset may launch with 6GB of RAM and run Android 16 out of the box.
In benchmark testing, the device recorded a single-core score of 788 and a multi-core score of 1,993, offering an early glimpse of its expected performance capabilities.
Although benchmark numbers do not always reflect real-world usage, they suggest the smartphone will be positioned as a capable everyday device for multitasking, entertainment, and routine mobile gaming.
More Details Expected Before Launch
Apart from confirming the battery capacity, OnePlus has remained tight-lipped about the smartphone’s remaining specifications. However, additional information related to the display, cameras, charging technology, and design is expected to be announced in the days leading up to the launch event.
With an enormous 8,000mAh battery and a likely MediaTek Dimensity chipset, the OnePlus N6 could emerge as a strong contender in India’s highly competitive budget smartphone market when it debuts on June 30.
