TMKOC Actor Kush Shah Turns YouTuber, Cooks For Strangers After Leaving The Show
Kush Shah, best known for playing Goli in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has started a new chapter after leaving the show. The actor has now ventured into YouTube, and his latest vlog has caught attention for its unusual concept.
Kush recently launched his YouTube channel, where he has been experimenting with entertaining and spontaneous content. In his latest video, the former TMKOC actor took to the streets of Mumbai and approached strangers with a rather unique offer — he asked if he could visit their homes and cook a meal for them.
Kush Shah Cooks For A Stranger’s Family
In the vlog, Kush can be seen approaching people in Mumbai and explaining his idea. While some of the strangers appeared surprised and hesitant about inviting someone they had just met into their homes, others recognised him from his role as Goli and were more welcoming.
Eventually, Kush found a family willing to participate in his video. He visited their home, prepared a meal and personally served the food to the family.
The fun experiment gave fans a glimpse of Kush outside his familiar television character and showed his interest in exploring cooking and lifestyle content.
Why Did Kush Shah Leave Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah?
Kush Shah was associated with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for several years before leaving the show in 2024. He played the much-loved character of Goli, one of the members of the Gokuldham society.
After Kush’s exit, Dharmit Shah stepped into the role.
Kush had earlier revealed that he decided to leave the long-running sitcom to pursue higher studies abroad. Speaking on the podcast Just Kidding with Sid, the actor explained that although leaving the show was difficult, he felt it was the right time to explore something beyond the series.
He also admitted that he missed being on the show’s sets because he considered them his “home.” However, after turning 27, Kush felt that he needed to take a step forward and try something different.
Kush Shah Says He Still Misses TMKOC
While discussing his decision, Kush spoke fondly about his years on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He said he genuinely loved the show and the people associated with it and had become deeply attached to the show’s working environment.
The actor also recalled working during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the period when the cast shifted to Daman to continue shooting.
Despite moving on from the sitcom, Kush’s latest YouTube videos suggest that he is now trying out a different side of his personality and connecting with people away from the television set.
About Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah premiered in 2008 and has become one of India’s longest-running television sitcoms. Created around the everyday lives of residents of Gokuldham Co-operative Society, the show has built a massive audience over the years.
The series has featured several popular actors, including Dilip Joshi, Amit Bhatt, Nitish Bhaluni, Sachin Shroff, Sunayana Fozdar and Mandar Chandwadkar, among others.
For Kush Shah, however, his latest YouTube venture marks a new phase — one where the former Goli is stepping away from the sitcom’s sets and trying something completely different.
