Realme’s upcoming Realme 17 Pro+ has reportedly appeared in a new leak, giving smartphone fans an early look at some of its possible display and camera specifications. While Realme has not officially confirmed the device yet, the latest information suggests that the phone could focus heavily on photography and display performance.
Realme 17 Pro+ May Feature a 1.5K OLED Display
According to a recent leak shared by tipster Digital Chat Station, an upcoming Realme smartphone could feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution.
The screen is also expected to support a very high refresh rate, although the exact refresh rate has not been revealed. If the leaked information is accurate, the Realme 17 Pro+ could offer smoother animations and scrolling than many smartphones in its segment.
For comparison, the Realme 16 Pro+ features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280 x 2,800 pixels and supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
200MP Main Camera Could Be the Highlight
The biggest upgrade may come in the camera department. The Realme 17 Pro+ is tipped to feature a triple rear camera system led by a massive 200-megapixel primary sensor.
The leaked camera setup is reportedly expected to include:
- 200-megapixel primary camera
- 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera
- 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera
The telephoto camera could also support 3.5x optical zoom, making the phone potentially useful for portrait photography and distant subjects.
Earlier reports suggested that the 200-megapixel camera could use Samsung’s HP5 sensor, while the periscope telephoto camera may use Samsung’s JN5 sensor.
Camera Setup Could Remain Similar to the Previous Model
Interestingly, the leaked camera specifications appear similar to those of the Realme 16 Pro+.
The current model also features a 200-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. This means Realme could be focusing more on improving image processing and overall camera performance rather than simply increasing the number of sensors.
Realme 17 Pro+ Launch Date Is Still Unknown
Realme has not yet announced an official launch date for the Realme 17 Pro+. Other specifications, including its processor, battery capacity, charging technology, RAM and storage options, are also yet to be confirmed.
For reference, the Realme 16 Pro+ comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It also packs a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging.
The Realme 17 Pro+ could bring several changes over its predecessor, but more details are expected to emerge as the launch gets closer.
