Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia have been facing heavy criticism over Ranveer’s recent comment on India’s Got Latent. However, a live audience member has now shared what really happened on set after the controversial joke was made.

A social media user named Mohit, who attended the episode as part of the audience, took to Instagram to explain the situation. He claimed that right after Ranveer made the inappropriate remark, he immediately apologized multiple times. Mohit stated that Ranveer even hugged the contestant and asked if he was comfortable.

“I was there, I saw everything. The contestant came on stage, and Ranveer made the joke. But right after that, he apologized at least four times, saying, ‘Sorry, I hope you weren’t offended.’ I understand that a sorry doesn’t fix everything, but he genuinely made sure the contestant was okay. Both Ranveer and Samay spoke to him, checked if he was fine, and reassured him. The contestant even won the competition, and everyone celebrated. Ranveer hugged him and said, ‘Are you okay? Sorry if my joke hurt you.’ Samay also praised him, saying, ‘You killed it, bro. Crazy performance.’ I just want to say, please don’t spread unnecessary hate,” Mohit explained in his video.

Despite the backlash, the incident has sparked a debate about the boundaries of humor and responsibility in public platforms.
