Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite Launching August 25: 165Hz OLED Display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Lenovo is preparing to launch its next compact gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 Infinite, in China on August 25, 2026. The upcoming tablet is shaping up to be a high-performance device, combining a fast OLED display with an overclocked flagship Snapdragon chipset.

The Legion Y700 Infinite is expected to compete directly with other powerful compact gaming tablets, including the RedMagic Astra 2.

8.4-inch OLED Display With 165Hz Refresh Rate

Lenovo has confirmed that the Legion Y700 Infinite will feature an 8.4-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate.

While the screen is smaller and has a lower refresh rate than the RedMagic Astra 2’s 9.06-inch 185Hz panel, the Lenovo tablet focuses heavily on processing performance.

The company has also revealed that the tablet will have extremely slim 2.89mm bezels, giving it a modern, immersive appearance.

Unlike the Legion Tab Gen 5, the Y700 Infinite will use a punch-hole front camera. This design allows Lenovo to reduce the bezels further, although it means the display will no longer be completely uninterrupted.

Overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Inside

Performance could be the biggest highlight of the Legion Y700 Infinite.

The tablet will use an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version. Its prime CPU cores are reportedly clocked at up to 4.74GHz, compared with 4.61GHz on the standard version of the chipset.

The GPU has also received a frequency boost, reaching 1.3GHz instead of 1.2GHz.

These higher clock speeds are expected to give the tablet additional performance headroom for gaming and other demanding workloads.

Legion Y700 Infinite Scores Over 4.5 Million on AnTuTu

Lenovo has already shared an impressive AnTuTu score of 4,585,844 points for the Legion Y700 Infinite.

That result is higher than the recent average scores reported for the RedMagic Astra 2, which have been around 4.16 million to 4.30 million points in recent benchmark charts.

While benchmark numbers do not necessarily represent real-world performance, the score suggests that Lenovo is positioning the Y700 Infinite as one of the most powerful compact Android tablets.

Battery and Charging Details

Lenovo has not yet officially revealed the battery capacity of the Legion Y700 Infinite.

However, a recent leak claims that the tablet could feature a 7,500mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging.

If these specifications prove accurate, the Y700 Infinite would offer less battery capacity and slower charging than the RedMagic Astra 2. Lenovo is yet to confirm these details, so they should be treated as unofficial for now.

Price and Global Availability

Lenovo has not announced the price of the Legion Y700 Infinite yet. The company has also not confirmed whether the new gaming tablet will be launched outside China.
