ASUS ROG Unveils Edition 20 Gaming Lineup at Computex 2026 with RTX 5090 Desktop, Ally X20 Handheld and SCAR 18 Laptop
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has marked its 20th anniversary with the launch of several premium gaming products at Computex 2026. The company introduced the exclusive Edition 20 lineup, featuring a flagship desktop PC, a special handheld gaming bundle, and a next-generation gaming laptop designed for enthusiasts.
The new collection highlights two decades of ROG innovation while showcasing the brand’s vision for the future of gaming across desktops, laptops, handhelds, and accessories.
ROG G1000 Edition 20: A Flagship Gaming Desktop Like No Other
Leading the anniversary collection is the new ROG G1000 Edition 20, a limited-edition gaming desktop built to deliver top-tier performance and distinctive design.
The system stands out with what ASUS describes as the world’s first prebuilt gaming PC featuring an AniMe Holo display. The front panel incorporates a holographic lighting system that transforms the chassis into a customizable visual display.
Performance is equally impressive. The desktop can be configured with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor and an ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. It supports up to 128GB of DDR5 memory and 4TB of PCIe Gen 5 SSD storage.
To manage heat generated by high-end hardware, ASUS has implemented a dedicated thermal chamber, a 420mm liquid cooling solution, and a tri-zone architecture that separates the CPU, GPU, and power supply into independent cooling zones.
ROG XBOX Ally X20 Bundle Targets Portable Gaming Enthusiasts
ASUS also unveiled the ROG XBOX Ally X20 Bundle, a special-edition handheld gaming package designed for gamers who want a premium portable experience.
The handheld features a translucent black design with gold accents, paying tribute to classic gaming hardware while giving users a glimpse of the internal components.
Powering the device is AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, paired with Radeon graphics, 24GB of LPDDR5X memory, and a 1TB SSD. The system also includes an 80Wh battery and runs Windows 11 with a dedicated XBOX gaming interface.
One of the major upgrades is a new 7.4-inch Nebula HDR OLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and peak HDR brightness of up to 1,400 nits.
AR Glasses Included in the Anniversary Bundle
What makes the Ally X20 Bundle unique is the inclusion of the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses.
The lightweight wearable display creates a virtual 171-inch gaming screen and supports refresh rates of up to 240Hz. Designed for immersive portable gaming, the glasses connect directly to the handheld through a single USB-C cable.
ASUS says the AR glasses provide a large-screen gaming experience without requiring a traditional monitor or television.
ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2026) Brings Advanced Display Technology
Alongside the anniversary products, ASUS introduced the latest ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2026) gaming laptop.
The notebook features an 18-inch 4K Mini LED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and the company’s latest Nebula Extreme Low Motion Blur technology. The upgrade is designed to improve motion clarity while maintaining high brightness and contrast levels for gaming and content creation.
Under the hood, the laptop can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. ASUS claims the system can deliver up to 320W of combined power while maintaining stable performance through improved cooling.
The laptop also supports tool-free upgrades, making it easier for users to access RAM and storage components.
New Armoury Crate Edition 20 Software Experience
To complement the hardware launches, ASUS introduced Armoury Crate Edition 20, a special anniversary version of its system management software.
The software includes exclusive visual themes inspired by the Edition 20 design language and offers centralized control over performance settings, lighting effects, and system customization.
The anniversary theme will be available for a limited time throughout 2026.
Beyond Hardware: ROG Expands into Lifestyle Products
ASUS is also expanding the Edition 20 celebration beyond gaming devices.
The company revealed a commemorative backpack, hard-case luggage, collectible OMNI figure, and even its first-ever board game set within the ROG cyberpunk-inspired universe.
These products are designed for dedicated ROG fans looking to celebrate the brand’s 20-year journey beyond traditional gaming hardware.

ASUS has confirmed that both the ROG G1000 Edition 20 and ROG XBOX Ally X20 Bundle are expected to launch during the second half of 2026.
