AN-32 Aircraft Accident in Assam Claims Lives of Five Indian Air Force Personnel
Five members of the Indian Air Force lost their lives on Saturday after an AN-32 transport aircraft was involved in an accident during a landing operation at the Air Force Station in Jorhat, Assam.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at the Rowriah airbase, where the aircraft, assigned to the 43 Squadron, was attempting to land. The Indian Air Force later confirmed the deaths of all five personnel who were on board at the time of the accident.
The deceased officers and airmen have been identified as Squadron Leader Prashant Singh, Flight Lieutenant Shubham Kumar, Sergeant Jitendra Sharma, Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat, and Agniveervayu Danish Alam.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also extended his condolences to the families affected by the tragedy. He stated that the state government remains in contact with defence authorities and is ready to provide any assistance required.
