Actor Vijay has officially unveiled the title and poster of his much-anticipated 69th film, titled ‘Jana Nayagan’. Directed by H Vinoth, this Tamil-language political action thriller is expected to be Vijay’s final film before his entry into politics.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Vijay revealed the film’s first look. In the poster, the actor is seen standing atop a vehicle, surrounded by a massive cheering crowd dressed in white. Vijay wore a blue denim shirt, black pants, shoes, and sunglasses, clicking a selfie with the sea of people behind him. Vijay shared the post with the hashtag #JanaNayagan.
Fans React to the First Look
The poster has left fans thrilled. A fan wrote, “The main man, Vijay. Feel the BGM!” Another commented, “So many emotions, endless goosebumps! Thank you, Thalaiva, for entertaining us all these years!”

The film stars an ensemble cast, including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, Mamitha Baiju, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. It is the first Tamil production of KVN Productions, with music by Anirudh.
Officially announced in September 2024 under the tentative title Thalapathy 69, the movie explores political action themes and marks a pivotal moment in Vijay’s career as he transitions into politics.
Vijay’s Political Aspirations
Earlier this year, Vijay announced his intention to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections under his newly formed political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. The actor said his focus is on creating a “corruption-free, progressive, and secular government.”
