Urvashi Rautela Team Claims ₹7,000 Crore Damages Over Alleged Unauthorised AI Use
Mumbai: Actor and model Urvashi Rautela’s team has said it is considering legal action against a Los Angeles-based artificial intelligence company, alleging that her name, images and video content were used without permission.
In a statement shared on social media on Tuesday, the actor’s team said it was seeking legal remedies and that damages were being assessed at ₹7,000 crore.

The statement from Team Urvashi accused the company of using the actor’s identity and content without authorisation.
The team said that companies are free to develop their AI businesses and brands, but should not use Rautela’s name or identity for commercial purposes without obtaining the necessary permission.
The statement did not provide further details about the legal proceedings or explain how the ₹7,000 crore damages figure had been calculated.
Sheeraz Hasan Calls Claim “Ridiculous”
Bollywood.AI and Hollywood.AI founder and CEO Sheeraz Hasan responded to the controversy on Instagram.
Hasan described the reported ₹7,000 crore legal claim as “ridiculous” and addressed the issue following an interview involving Rautela and his company.
During the interview, Rautela was asked about the relationship between Bollywood and artificial intelligence. Her response focused on her love for Bollywood and her view that the industry is facing changes linked to AI.
Hasan later said that the company had not put words into the actor’s mouth. He also urged her to learn more about artificial intelligence and its potential impact on the entertainment industry.
According to Hasan, AI could increasingly be used for AI-generated films, vertical dramas and digital stars, which he described as part of the future of entertainment.

The dispute comes as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly involved in the entertainment industry. The use of celebrity names, likenesses, voices and videos in AI-generated content has raised questions around consent, intellectual property and commercial rights.
