Realme 16T India Launch: 8000mAh Battery, 144Hz Screen and Dimensity 6300 Processor Revealed

Realme has expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the new Realme 16T. The device joins the Realme 16 series as its most affordable model and focuses on battery life, durability, and everyday performance.

The smartphone was introduced alongside the Realme Buds Air 8 Pro and Realme Watch S5 during the company’s latest launch event.

Realme 16T Specifications

The Realme 16T features a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, which can provide smoother scrolling, animations, and gaming responsiveness. The display resolution is 1570×720 pixels.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with the Mali-G57 MC GPU. The processor is aimed at handling day-to-day multitasking, media consumption, and casual gaming efficiently.

For photography, the smartphone includes a 50-megapixel Sony AI rear camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Realme has also added a rear-side selfie mirror, which could be useful for users who frequently capture photos using the main camera.

Massive 8000mAh Battery With Fast Charging

Battery capacity is one of the biggest highlights of the new Realme 16T. The phone packs an 8000mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging and 15W reverse charging.

According to Realme, the battery is designed to maintain long-term health for up to seven years under standard usage conditions. The device runs on realme UI 7.0, and the company claims users can expect up to six years of smooth software experience.

Water and Dust Resistance Ratings

The smartphone also focuses heavily on durability. It carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for protection against dust and water exposure. These ratings are generally seen in devices built to handle tougher environmental conditions.

Realme 16T Price in India and Sale Date

The Realme 16T has launched in three variants:

• 6GB RAM + 128GB storage – Rs 29,999
• 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – Rs 31,999
• 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – Rs 34,999

The smartphone is currently available for pre-booking through Realme India and Flipkart. Official sales are scheduled to begin on May 27.
