A powerful earthquake of 7.1 magnitude struck near the Nepal-Tibet border early Monday morning, with tremors strongly felt across Delhi-NCR, Bihar, and other parts of North India.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred at 6:35 AM (IST) and was centered 93 km northeast of Lobuche, a region near the Khumbu Glacier in Nepal. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed the epicenter at latitude 28.86°N and longitude 87.51°E, with a depth of 10 kilometers.
Impact and Aftershocks
Residents in Bihar and other northern states reported feeling the tremors, prompting many to rush out of their homes. However, no damage to property has been reported so far.

- A magnitude 4.7 earthquake was recorded at 7:02 AM IST at a depth of 10 kilometers.
- Another magnitude 4.9 tremor occurred at 7:07 AM IST, this time at a depth of 30 kilometers.
