Renowned filmmaker Atlee Kumar is reportedly gearing up for his next big-budget movie with Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun. According to 123Telugu, the film’s pre-production will begin in April 2025, with shooting expected to start mid-year.
Atlee Hefty ₹100 Crore Fee
One of the major highlights of this project is Atlee staggering ₹100 crore fee for directing the film. While there’s no official confirmation yet, the industry is abuzz with discussions about whether the producers will meet his demand.
Atlee gained pan-India recognition after directing Shah Rukh Khan blockbuster Jawan. Following that success, he also ventured into production with Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi. Baby John is the Hindi remake of Atlee 2016 Tamil film Theri.

Allu Arjun & Atlee Grand Collaboration
Reports suggest that Atlee initially planned this film with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. However, due to budget constraints, he is now teaming up with Allu Arjun.
PeepingMoon.com reported, “Although the paperwork is still pending, the ‘Pushpa 2’ star has principally agreed to the project. Atlee is looking to kick off pre-production by April-May.”
The movie is expected to be backed by Sun Pictures, a leading Tamil production house known for its high-budget ventures.
Janhvi Kapoor as the Female Lead?
Speculations are also rife that Janhvi Kapoor might be cast as the female lead in this much-anticipated film. While no official confirmation has been made, Janhvi’s inclusion would add to the film’s star power.
